Senior Application Support Analyst (Capital Markets)

Description

The Senior Application Support Analyst will support critical Sophis and Valuation Management applications for the Equity Derivatives business, providing overnight and intraday risk limits and valuations. This role also involves supporting the DataSynapse GRID compute infrastructure and orchestration software used for pricing requests. Responsibilities include ensuring application stability and availability, managing continuous software releases, overseeing data quality, and participating in an on-call weekend rotation for issue resolution and infrastructure maintenance.

What We're Looking For

Quickly address issues impacting daily business functions for front, middle, and back office.,Drive improved stability and data quality.,Contribute to and enhance the ITRS monitoring platform configuration and action triggered events.,Document new issues and maintain/enhance existing documentation.,Investigate pricing failures and resolve issues using SQL, Unix, and Windows; automate processes with Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.,Engage in platform projects like vulnerability remediation, business continuity, and task automation.,Perform change and release practices for proprietary and vendor software deployment.,Participate in weekend on-call rotation and shift schedules (early: 8 AM – 5:30 PM EST, late: 10-7 PM EST).

Ideal Candidate

3+ years' experience supporting applications on equity derivatives or other capital market products.,3+ years' experience with SQL scripting.,3+ years' experience working on Linux and Windows Server.,1-2 years' experience with Python scripting.,Monitoring experience of high availability trading applications, batch processing or similar; job Scheduler experience (e.g., BMC Control-M, Autosys, Cron).,Nice-to-have: Kubernetes / Docker experience.,Nice-to-have: ITRS Geneos Monitoring Software.,Nice-to-have: PowerShell.,Nice-to-have: GRID / DataSynapse.,Nice-to-have: SOLACE.,Nice-to-have: Control-M Job Scheduler.,Nice-to-have: C++ / C#.,Nice-to-have: Oracle.,Nice-to-have: Experience supporting risk management and analytics applications / infrastructure.

Special Commitments
