Senior Analyst, Global Manager Research

Description

The Senior Analyst, Global Manager Research (GMR) conducts initial and ongoing research, analysis, and due diligence of investment managers for various investment products like Separately Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, Exchange Traded Funds, and sub-advisory relationships. This role involves overseeing an approved list of managers for RBC's global investment businesses, contributing to the management of internally-managed multi-asset portfolios, and assisting with business development.

What We're Looking For

Conduct initial and ongoing research and due diligence on investment managers.,Provide clear and timely insights, information, and opinions on investment managers through reports and verbal communication.,Assume a leading role on investment committees, providing ideas and investment recommendations.,Assist advisors in business development efforts with ultra-high-net-worth clients.,Foster cross-border collaboration among GMR teams and stakeholders.,Represent GMR internally and externally in meetings and speaking engagements.,Act as an expert for important business development opportunities.,Mentor, coach, and develop staff to enhance research capabilities.,Minimum of 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in investment manager research.,Solid understanding of key investment products and concepts (portfolio management, investment strategy, investment structures like SMAs, Mutual Funds, ETFs).,Demonstrated ability to lead by example and operate with little oversight.,Proven skill in delivering credible presentations and recommendations.,Advanced interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Ideal Candidate

CFA/CAIA designation and/or advanced educational degrees (Nice-to-have).,Undergraduate degree in business (preferred focus in finance, accounting, economics, math, or statistics) (Nice-to-have).

Minimum Education

Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, or Statistics); CFA/CAIA designation or advanced educational degrees are a plus.
