The Senior Analyst will conduct validation reviews of non-model reports across various areas like Transaction Monitoring, Client Risk Rating, Sanction Screening, and Regulatory Reporting. This position involves using advanced analytical tools, collaborating with various internal teams, and directly influencing RBC’s financial crimes risk management framework.
Validate Financial Crimes oversight reports for Transaction Monitoring, Client Risk Rating, Sanction Screening, and Regulatory Reporting.,Perform outcome testing to assess the accuracy and effectiveness of implemented reports, controls, and processes.,Execute data mining and reconcile report results using tools like Python, SAS, SQL, and Tableau.,Challenge financial crime reporting and data extraction methods to identify risks, limitations, and assumptions.,Evaluate report design for alignment with purpose, regulatory standards, and business requirements.,Collaborate with developers, compliance officers, IT teams, and business units to understand reporting needs.,Prepare detailed validation reports and visualizations for management, external regulators, and internal audit.,Contribute to continuous improvement by staying updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging financial crime methodologies.
2-3 years of experience in developing and executing reports using automated tools,Strong proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, and Tableau for data mining and analysis,Excellent written and oral communication skills to articulate complex validation findings to diverse stakeholders,Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail for identifying data controls, metrics, and compliance gaps,Problem-solving mindset with strong planning and execution skills to manage multiple validation reviews simultaneously,Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science or a related field (Nice-to-have),In-depth knowledge of Financial Crimes regulations (BSA/AML, OFAC, sanctions, etc.) (Nice-to-have),Familiarity with Transaction Monitoring systems, Client Risk Rating methodologies, or Sanction Screening platforms (Nice-to-have)
