Description

The Senior Analyst, Database Administration role within TD Securities US Finance focuses on the preparation and analysis of regulatory reporting deliverables for FRB, FFIEC, and US Treasury. Key responsibilities include researching regulator inquiries, identifying data issues, driving process improvements, supporting governance, automating reporting processes (e.g., with Alteryx), and enhancing data governance and controls. The position also involves supporting departmental projects and maintaining detailed procedure documentation. The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory concepts and practices in a dynamic financial environment.

What We're Looking For

Independently prepare and analyze regulatory reporting deliverables for FRB, FFIEC, and US Treasury.,Conduct research and formulate responses to regulator inquiries related to reports.,Understand data attributes and sources to identify issues and implement process improvements.,Support Governance tasks and collaborate with Compliance and business partners.,Identify opportunities for and implement automation of existing processes and reporting, utilizing tools like Alteryx.,Continuously develop a strong understanding of regulatory concepts and practices.,Enhance data/process governance, key controls, and analytics for the TDS US Regulatory Reporting team.,Support the alignment of current regulatory reporting processes with new implementations.,Assist with other key departmental projects and initiatives as assigned.,Maintain and develop existing procedure documents and processes, including gathering information from source systems.,Analyze and interpret business and accounting movements to facilitate regulatory reporting variance analysis.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in business/accounting/financial management (accounting proficiency preferred).,Proven analytical skills and sound judgment in a dynamic business environment.,Ability to translate high volumes of complex reporting requirements and data into simple, consistent, and sustainable processes.,Demonstrated data aggregation and reconciliation skills.,Strong sense of process and data governance and strong attention to detail.,Highly motivated individual with a proven track record to deliver results.,A fluid, intuitive, and logical thinker with a high level of curiosity to learn and interest in determining and implementing process improvements.,Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.,Understanding of Wholesale Banking/Capital Markets businesses, products, and associated balance sheet and P&L movements.,Collaborative, team player with ability to work individually.,Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (an asset).,Confident communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to facilitate working with business and senior management at all levels.,Undergraduate degree.,Accounting designation preferred.,5+ years of relevant experience.
