Senior Advisor - Operational Risk, Wealth Management

This role involves deploying and maintaining the Operational Risk Management framework within the Wealth Management sector, collaborating with various stakeholders, monitoring projects, analyzing and mitigating risks, leading change management, documenting operational events, and managing risk governance activities, including third parties, cybersecurity, and business continuity.

What We're Looking For

Ensure the deployment of the Operational Risk Management framework and applicable policies within the WM sector.,Build and maintain relationships with business unit risk managers and other stakeholders.,Ensure monitoring of WM projects and proper risk governance.,Conduct analysis, make recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure implementation of action plans.,Lead change management and be a role model in the evolution of WM's risk culture and framework.,Implement any changes to the risk management framework ensuring changes are adapted to the needs of the sector.,Document and reconcile operational events.,Manage risk governance activities which may include third parties, cybersecurity, controls and operational resilience activities.,Lead or participate in sectorial crisis cells and business continuity activities.,Bachelor's degree related to the industry.,10 years of relevant experience.,Experience in operational risk.,Understanding of OSFI's operational risk framework and guidelines.,Sound knowledge of Wealth Management activities.,Project management experience.,Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.,Comfort building reports and presentations for the senior management and executive teams.,Negotiation skills.,Proactive and able to prioritize.,Ability to communicate effectively in both English & French (working with partners and colleagues across Canada).

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree related to the industry.,10 years of relevant experience.,Experience in operational risk.,Understanding of OSFI's operational risk framework and guidelines.,Sound knowledge of Wealth Management activities.,Project management experience.,Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.,Comfort building reports and presentations for the senior management and executive teams.
