Description

The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is seeking a Senior Administrator for Banking Operations on a contract basis for their client, a major global bank. This role supports the British Isles business from a processing center in Malaysia, focusing on maximizing efficiencies and improving service quality through standardized global processes. The successful candidate will provide high-standard operational support to the Banking & Payment Operations team.

What We're Looking For

Provide operational support for Banking & Payment Operations.,Efficiently and timely process banking products such as cheque clearing, BACS & Direct Debits, fixed term deposits, foreign exchanges, account transfers, and standing orders.,Process and verify accounting entries accurately, meeting cut-off times.,Communicate delays to local management.,Ensure rates are updated and cheque book orders are processed accurately.,Validate inward SWIFT and BACS payments according to UK regulations.,Process and validate account closure requests, apply interest, and make final payments.,Complete filing & scanning per policy.,Process transactions according to bank rules, desktop guidelines, and regulatory requirements.,Provide relief support for team functions.,Conduct daily EOD checks and action outstanding issues.,Investigate and account for unreconciled items and outstanding breaks.,Account for all charges related to client transactions and payments.,Escalate issues/risks to management.,Fast learner for new tasks.,Able to work with minimal supervision.,Adherence to procedures and control processes.,Ability to complete ad-hoc tasks and project deliverables by deadlines.,Achieve performance targets.

Ideal Candidate

Diploma / Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.,Minimum 2 years of working experience within a Private Bank or Wealth Management environment.
