Senior Actuarial Analyst, Telematics Product Management

Description

This role supports the end-to-end management of telematics insurance products within TD Insurance's General Insurance Product Group. The successful candidate will monitor product performance, identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and drive changes to meet business and financial objectives. This involves understanding customer needs, the competitive landscape, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic development. The role also includes collaborating with stakeholders and vendors for product design, development, and implementation, as well as refining strategies through data analysis.

What We're Looking For

Support end-to-end management of telematics insurance products.

Monitor product performance and identify opportunities.

Develop recommendations and drive changes to achieve business and financial objectives.

Deliver financial results through operational levers.

Develop an in-depth understanding of Telematics products, customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.

Provide thought leadership and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Support the design, development, and implementation of new and enhanced telematics products.

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (internal and external vendors).

Refine product management strategies through analysis.

Support the business strategy and tactics for product development.

Support end-to-end process development for product review, implementation, and feedback.

Communicate as a subject matter expert to Senior Leadership.

Solve complex problems requiring multi-variable analysis and stakeholder consultation.

Key resource for day-to-day projects and initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum of 4 years of General Insurance experience.

Demonstrated strategic & innovative thinking and analytical skills.

Ability to use customer insights for business strategy.

Demonstrated relationship building and leadership skills.

Strong organization skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple deadlines.

Capacity to identify and evaluate business opportunities; excellent judgment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong customer orientation and professional approach.

Self-motivated team player with high energy, capable of independent work.

Strong knowledge of products and the General Insurance market.

Ability to innovate and challenge the status quo.

Undergraduate degree in actuarial Sciences or related maths, stats discipline.

Actuarial CAS exam toward FCIA is preferred (P&C Insurance).

Preference for previous telematics and product management experience.
