Description

This role is within KPMG's Audit & Assurance practice, specifically in the Enterprise Audit group in the Windsor office. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit work, fostering trust and transparency for both public and private organizations, and operating within an environment that encourages continuous learning and excellence. They will apply KPMG's audit and accounting methodologies, conduct financial statement audits, lead engagement teams, mentor junior staff, and analyze complex accounting and financial issues.

What We're Looking For

Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies at client engagements. Conduct external and internal financial statement audits for both public and private companies. Lead field engagement teams and provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff members. Perform analysis of complex accounting issues. Perform financial and systems analysis. Develop and maintain relationships with clients. Effectively monitor multiple or complex projects regularly against deadlines and budget. Demonstrate excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand clients' business and maintain strong client relationships. Show dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism. Experience mentoring and delegating work to junior staff. Possess previous experience and technical knowledge beneficial to the client. Able to use a range of techniques to analyze an issue.

Ideal Candidate

Accounting/business degree required. Successful completion of the CFE and/or working towards a CPA designation an asset. 2+ years post graduate experience in public accounting and external audit. Experience with ASPE and ASNPO.
