Moderna is seeking a highly motivated computational scientist with an RNA biology background to develop and apply novel algorithms for designing and optimizing therapeutic mRNAs. This role involves leveraging state-of-the-art bioinformatics, optimization, and machine learning approaches to advance Moderna's mRNA design and engineering platform across multiple therapeutic areas. The successful candidate will also contribute to scientific strategy and communicate research findings.
Develop and apply novel combinatorial optimization algorithms specific to mRNA medicines.,Work with RNA biologists, high throughput screening, and NGS teams to acquire datasets for machine learning model training and refinement.,Utilize scientific literature and concepts to innovate mRNA design.,Contribute to scientific and strategy discussions to enhance the Moderna mRNA Platform.,Maintain accountability for project success and result delivery.,Communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
