Salesforce Area Product Owner - Commercial Banking

Description

The Area Product Owner supports CIBC's goal of enhancing customer experience by developing and maintaining a product vision that drives business value through iterative development. This involves close collaboration with CRM Product Owners, internal stakeholders, and other teams to identify, design, and prioritize product capabilities and improvements, considering the necessary people, processes, technology, and data for execution.

What We're Looking For

Own and align the domain vision and roadmap with the overall product strategy.

Partner across disciplines to ensure convergence with core platforms and key initiatives.

Manage the existing domain backlog and lead research, definition, and development of new capabilities and features.

Integrate usability studies, prototyping, and research into requirements to enhance user satisfaction.

Collaborate with business analysts to ensure completeness of user stories, including descriptions, acceptance criteria, data requirements, personas, and alignment with Epics and Initiatives.

Create measurable and reportable KPIs to quantify the value propositions of roadmap capabilities and features.

Own and resolve risks, issues, and interdependencies, providing transparency into progress and challenges.

Commit to sharing formal and experiential knowledge with the team and organization.

Demonstrate ability to take on increasing scope and responsibilities.

Work with Stakeholders to develop a product vision that satisfies their requirements.

Curate user stories and feedback, prioritizing work with maximum value.

Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to determine product development cycles.

Manage release plans by monitoring project scope, schedule, and budget.

Support the Scrum Master in facilitating Agile/Scrum ceremonies and enforcing best practices.

Communicate business and stakeholder requirements to the development team and ensure design alignment.

Work closely with the development team to define, design, accept, and adapt features for each iteration.

Serve as the internal/external subject matter expert on the product and primary contact for product-related questions.

Demonstrate the product, its purpose, and realization to engage all parties in Sprint stages.

Create a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision, and values.

Ideal Candidate

4+ years of experience as an Area Product Owner or in a related role.

4+ years of experience developing and executing on product roadmaps.

4+ years of business domain experience.

Experience in the financial services industry, preferably Commercial Banking.

1 year of experience with Azure DevOps and/or JIRA.

Expert-level understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, roles, and practices.

Experience in delivering feature/functionality in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments (preferred).
