Lightspeed is seeking a Global Payments Sales Manager to lead, mentor, and coach a geographically dispersed team of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives. This role focuses on driving the adoption of Lightspeed Payments among existing North American, Australian, and European merchants by refining the go-to-market strategy, optimizing the sales cycle, and ensuring the team consistently meets global revenue targets. The manager will also be responsible for talent development, acting as a subject matter expert, collaborating with other departments, providing product feedback, and managing sales forecasting and pipeline.
Lead, mentor, and coach a geographically dispersed team of 6 Account Executives and 2 Business Development Reps.,Continuously refine the global Go-to-Market playbook for existing merchant payments cross-sell motion, ensuring global consistency, efficiency, and scalability.,Guide the team through the complete sales cycle, from qualification to payments launch, coaching on deal structures, pricing, and contract negotiations.,Oversee the full talent lifecycle, including driving ongoing training focused on payments industry knowledge, consultative selling, and negotiation.,Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert on accelerating a payment organization.,Collaborate closely with Account Management, Marketing, and Onboarding leadership to ensure consistent lead flow and seamless merchant transition/launch.,Synthesize merchant feedback on product functionality, competitive threats, and market trends, relaying actionable insights to the Product organization.,Own and deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, conducting regular activity and pipeline reviews.
8+ years of proven experience managing, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing sales team.,5+ years of extensive experience in the payment processing industry, specifically in merchant-facing sales, account management, or Go-to-Market roles.,5+ years of demonstrated experience in a closing role focused on payments or technology sales.,Documented history of success in a quota-based environment.,Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence C-level internal stakeholders and senior merchant contacts.
