The Risk Manager will report to a Director in the Market & Counterparty Credit Risk (MCCR) Capital group. This role involves contributing to regulatory capital analysis and reporting processes for Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) and Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) capital related to derivatives and SFT portfolios. The individual will be involved in interpreting evolving regulatory requirements, managing internal transitions of regulatory changes, preparing risk reports, and performing detailed analysis to inform stakeholders of key drivers and changes in counterparty credit risk default and CVA capital. The role also includes building tools to enhance capital analytics, leveraging AI, streamlining reporting processes, and acting as a key control owner for capital production results and usages.
Execute month-end regulatory capital processes.
Design and produce reporting and analysis to inform business stakeholders of risk drivers, changes, and regulatory transition impacts, utilizing AI tools.
Build tools, including leveraging AI, to enhance capital analytics, support capital sizing, and automate reporting processes.
Ensure new business initiatives are appropriately captured in SA-CCR and SFT Exposure at Default (EAD) and regulatory capital calculations.
Act as a key stakeholder in planning and prioritizing regulatory updates for capital model enhancements.
Collaborate with RBC front office businesses, Global Risk Analytics, Market Risk, Risk IT, and Finance to ensure complete and accurate counterparty credit risk capital.
Strong understanding of traded products, especially OTC derivatives and their risks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
Excellent command of Excel, Python, and SQL, with strong interest and ideally experience with AI tools.
Graduate degree with emphasis in risk management, finance, or a quantitative discipline.
Relevant experience in a risk management role (Nice-to-Have).
FRM, PRMIA, or CFA certification (Nice-to-Have).

Ability to work evening and weekends on regulatory capital measurement and reporting, as required (10% of the time).
