Risk Manager I- Credit Risk-Personal Loan

Description

This role at TD Bank focuses on managing and implementing credit risk segmentation strategies for personal loans. The manager will be responsible for creating and validating strategies for adjudication, account management, exposure management, and financial return optimization. Key aspects include performing detailed data analysis, interpreting information to make strategic recommendations, and ensuring compliance with risk appetite and governmental regulations. The position involves working cross-functionally, reporting on strategy results, and maintaining sound credit control.

What We're Looking For

Manage the creation, implementation, and validation of various risk segmentation strategies (adjudication, account management, exposure management, risk segmentation, financial return optimization).,Provide critical information, interpretive, and detailed analysis.,Deploy critical credit risk rational strategies within TD risk appetite and governmental guidelines.,Investigate, create, implement, and validate risk segmentation strategies and policies using complex data, advanced analytical approaches, and business intelligence tools.,Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors aligned with TD policies.,Lead/participate in the identification, development, and implementation of new initiatives, workflow, services/applications, or operational efficiencies.,Assist with developing and enhancing credit risk assessment capabilities.,Perform detailed analysis and interpret information to make recommendations to Senior Management.,Create regular reports on the results of implemented strategies using quantitative methods and MIS.,Work cross-functionally with teams outside of risk.,Work with Internal Audit / External Regulators to ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date.,Ensure sound credit control through a pro-active approach.,Ensure timely communication of relevant issues.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree required,Graduate degree preferred,5+ years' experience required,Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint,Experience with a variety of PC-based analytical and reporting software packages,Experience with Relational Databases and ETL process using SQL or SAS,Familiarity with analytical or reporting tools (SAS, R, Matlab, Tableau),Strong analytical and problem solving skills,Experience in data modeling and risk management (business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific, or financial background),Excellent written and verbal communication skills,Experienced in developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management
