Retail Banker (South Glens Falls) Full Time

Description

The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison, using financial expertise and consultative advice to assist clients with their banking solutions and needs. This role contributes to achieving business objectives by identifying suitable TD solutions that help customers meet their financial goals and enhance their relationship with the bank. Key aspects include building relationships, providing advice, and actively participating in customer engagement.

What We're Looking For

Proficiency in products, services, and routine transactions to educate customers or refer them to appropriate internal partners.,Establish and nurture customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.,Make product recommendations based on customer needs.,Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for assessments and outbound sales activities.,Independently resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.,Build working relationships and explain detailed information to customers.,Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.,Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake.,Maintain active registration with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Deliver exceptional customer experience, providing service and advice.,Act as a customer advocate to improve financial confidence and provide proactive insights.,Engage in lobby leadership to manage customer flow and guide customers.,Educate customers on self-service banking options.,May perform teller transactions including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals while adhering to fraud mitigation and operational policies.,Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.,Participate in daily store operations in alignment with TD's risk framework.,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.,Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes.,Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities.,Ensure documentation is accurate and consistent with relevant rules/regulations.,Comply with the Bank Code of Conduct.,Contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence.,Participate fully as a team member, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring timely communication.,Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.,Participate in personal performance management and development.,Keep colleagues informed about project status and daily activities.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.,Act as a brand ambassador.,Utilize feedback from coaching sessions to improve performance.,Establish relationships with partner bankers for effective referrals.,Collaborate with team members to achieve team and organizational success.,Actively seek opportunities to improve work delivery with high quality standards.,Take ownership of personal career and aspirations.,Positively embrace change.,Adhere to TD's Shared Commitments and code of conduct expectations.,Engage in advancing and sustaining an inclusive culture.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED.,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales (or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience) preferred.,Teller experience preferred.,Must be able to complete teller training upon hire.,Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act.,Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS in accordance with the SAFE Act.,Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.,Statements/certification from job applicant regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings by any government agency/authority.
