Retail Banker (Queensbury)

Description

The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison, leveraging financial expertise and consultative advice to help customers with their banking needs and solutions. This role is crucial for achieving business objectives, identifying appropriate TD solutions to help customers meet financial goals, and optimizing their relationship with TD.

What We're Looking For

Proficient in bank products, services, and routine transactions to identify opportunities for customer education and referrals.,Establish and nurture customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge and actively listening to needs.,Make product recommendations that support customers through financial challenges and life events.,Utilize CRM tools for customer assessments and outbound sales activities.,Independently resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.,Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.,Engage customers in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake.,Maintain active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.,Serve as a Customer advocate, improving financial confidence and providing resolution, tips, and insights.,Consistently execute behaviors to deliver an unexpectedly human customer experience.,Engage in lobby leadership, orchestrating customer flow and guiding customers.,Educate customers on self-service banking options.,May perform teller transactions, including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals, while monitoring fraud mitigation.,Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Participate in store daily operations to align with TD's risk framework.,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.,Support timely and accurate completion of business processes.,Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions.,Ensure accurate documentation consistent with rules/regulations.,Comply with Bank Code of Conduct.,Participate fully as a team member, supporting a positive work environment.,Enhance knowledge/expertise and participate in knowledge transfer.,Keep others informed about project status and daily activities.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.,Act as a brand ambassador for the business area/function and the Bank.,Utilize coaching feedback to improve performance.,Establish relationships with partner bankers for effective referrals.,Actively seek opportunities to improve work delivery with high attention to quality.,Take ownership of own career and aspirations, seeking diverse feedback for skill development.,Embrace change positively.,Adhere to TD's Shared Commitments and code of conduct.,Engage in advancing and sustaining an inclusive culture.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity (volunteering, education, military experience preferred).,Teller experience preferred.,Must be able to complete teller training upon hire.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations and educate on products/services preferred.,Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent).,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.,Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem solving.,Proficient in Microsoft Office.,Notary License (Preferred).

Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.,Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.,Requires satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.,Requires statements/certification from job applicant regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings by any government agency/authority.,Occasional domestic travel.
