The Retail Banker II at TD Bank in Bowie, Maryland, serves as a crucial customer liaison, leveraging financial expertise and consultative advice to guide customers on banking solutions. This role is instrumental in achieving business objectives by identifying suitable TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals and enhance their relationship with the bank. Responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert, making product recommendations, building customer relationships, utilizing CRM tools for proactive sales, and resolving customer issues effectively.

What We're Looking For

Act as a subject matter expert for both customers and colleagues regarding TD products, services, policies, and procedures, particularly in personal and business banking.,Provide product recommendations based on customer needs, emphasizing features and benefits.,Establish and nurture customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge, actively listening, and identifying additional financial needs.,Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools for proactive customer assessments and lead-focused outbound sales activities.,Evaluate and independently resolve customer issues, errors, and problems, escalating when necessary.,Explain detailed or complex information clearly within the team.,Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities to deliver an "unexpectedly human" experience.,Engage customers in conversations about loan products and facilitate the application intake process.,Maintain active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Deliver a "Legendary Experience" by building relationships and providing service and advice to TD Customers.,Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy, providing end-to-end advice.,Serve as a Customer advocate for resolution, proactive tips, and insights on saving time and money.,Consistently execute appropriate behaviors to deliver a Legendary Customer experience in the Store through effective problem resolution or sound advice.,Engage in lobby leadership by orchestrating Customer flow, welcoming, discovering initial needs, and guiding Customers appropriately.,Educate Customers on self-service banking options that meet their needs.,May perform various teller transactions (e.g., check cashing, deposits, transfers, withdrawals) while ensuring fraud mitigation and adhering to operational policies.,Ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) to minimize risk.,Promote the full suite of TD products, sales, services, and banking capabilities.,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.,Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.,Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities as necessary.,Ensure prepared/completed documentation is accurate, reflects client/business intentions, and complies with regulations.,Comply with the Bank Code of Conduct.,Participate fully as a member of the team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting quality, innovation, and teamwork.,Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise and participate in knowledge transfer within the team.,Engage in personal performance management and development activities.,Keep others informed about project status and day-to-day activities.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.,Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the Bank.,Utilize feedback from coaching sessions to demonstrate stronger performance.,Establish relationships with partner bankers to facilitate effective referrals.

Ideal Candidate

High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred,2+ years of related experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity,Teller experience (Preferred),Cross-trained to take customer transactions upon hire,Superior Customer Service skills,Strong organization skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent),Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work,Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines,Proficient in Microsoft Office,Ability to provide community services, including Financial Education classes,Notary License (Preferred)

Special Commitments
