Description

The Retail Banker II serves as a customer liaison, providing financial expertise and consultative advice on banking solutions to customers. This role aims to achieve business objectives by identifying appropriate TD solutions to help customers meet their financial goals and enhance their relationship with the bank. Key responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert for all TD products and services, making product recommendations, building strong customer relationships, utilizing CRM tools, resolving customer issues, and participating in customer outreach and loan product discussions.

What We're Looking For

Act as a subject matter expert on all TD products, services, policies, and procedures for both personal and business banking.,Possess broad knowledge of the full product suite, services, and processes.,Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight features/benefits.,Establish and nurture customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.,Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools for assessments and outbound sales activities.,Evaluate and resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.,Build working relationships with customers and internal teams.,Maintain active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Deliver a legendary customer experience, service, and advice.,Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.,Serve as a customer advocate for resolution, proactive tips, and insights.,Engage in lobby leadership to orchestrate customer flow and guide customers.,Understand customer banking preferences and educate on self-service options.,May act as a point of escalation for customer questions or concerns.,May perform teller transactions (e.g., check cashing, deposits, transfers, withdrawals) while adhering to fraud mitigation and operational policies.,Ensure compliance with operational activities, company guidelines, and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Promote the full suite of products, sales, services, and banking capabilities.,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.,Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes.,Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities as necessary.,Ensure prepared documentation is accurate, reflects client/business intentions, and complies with rules/regulations.,Comply with the Bank Code of Conduct.,Contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence by understanding accountability.,Execute with excellence by adhering to all Risk and Control Policies and Procedures.,Participate fully as a team member, supporting a positive work environment and promoting knowledge transfer.,Participate in personal performance management and development activities.,Keep others informed about projects and daily activities.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.,Act as a brand ambassador internally and externally.,Utilize feedback through coaching sessions for stronger performance.,Establish relationships with partner bankers for effective referrals.,Collaborate with team members to contribute to the success of the team and organization.,Actively seek opportunities to improve work delivery with high attention to quality standards.,Actively take ownership of own career and aspirations, seeking diverse feedback for continuous development.,Positively embrace change.,Adhere and participate in TD's Shared Commitments and code of conduct expectations.

Ideal Candidate

High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.,2+ years of related experience working with customers and/or sales.,Teller experience preferred.,Cross-trained to take customer transactions upon hire.,Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act.,Eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS under the SAFE Act.,Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.
