The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison for TD Bank, using financial expertise to provide consultative advice and banking solutions. This role focuses on achieving business objectives by identifying and offering TD solutions that help customers meet their financial goals and enhance their relationship with the bank.
Identify opportunities to educate customers on bank products and services, or refer to appropriate internal partners.
Establish and nurture customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge and actively listening to customer needs.
Make product recommendations based on customer needs, highlighting features and benefits.
Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for proactive customer assessments and outbound sales activities.
Independently resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.
Build working relationships with customers and explain detailed financial information.
Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.
Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake.
Consistently execute appropriate behaviors to deliver a legendary customer experience.
Engage in lobby leadership, guiding customer flow and discovering initial needs.
Educate customers on self-service banking options.
May perform teller transactions, including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals, while monitoring for fraud.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations like the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
Participate in daily store operations to align with TD's risk framework.
Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.
Support timely and accurate completion of business processes.
Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions.
Ensure accuracy of documentation and consistency with regulations.
Comply with Bank Code of Conduct.

High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of experience working with customers and/or sales, or equivalent through volunteering, education, or military experience (preferred).
Teller experience (preferred).
Ability to complete teller training upon hire.

Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent).
Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Sound judgment in decision-making and effective problem-solving.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Notary License (Preferred).
Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.
Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.
Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and credit report check.
