Description

The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison, offering financial expertise and consultative advice to help customers with their banking needs. The role focuses on delivering TD's brand promise by identifying appropriate solutions to help customers achieve financial goals and optimize their relationship with the bank. Responsibilities include educating customers on products and services, engaging in proactive sales activities using CRM tools, establishing customer relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

What We're Looking For

Deliver legendary customer experience through service and advice.

Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.

Act as a customer advocate to improve financial confidence and provide insights.

Be proficient in products, services, and routine transactions, identifying educational and referral opportunities.

Establish and nurture customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.

Make product recommendations based on customer needs.

Utilize CRM tools for customer assessments, proactive solutions, and outbound sales activities.

Independently resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.

Build working relationships and explain detailed information to customers.

Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.

Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake.

Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).

Participate in store daily operations aligned with TD's risk framework.

Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.

Support timely and accurate completion of business processes.

Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED.

1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales (or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience) preferred.

Must be able to complete teller training upon hire to take customer transactions.

Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations and educate on products/services preferred.

Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent).

Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.

Teller experience preferred.

Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
