Retail Banker I (Bilingual Korean or Spanish Preferred) Fort Lee

Description

The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison, leveraging financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking needs. This role is crucial for achieving business objectives by identifying and providing appropriate TD solutions that help customers meet financial goals and strengthen their relationship with the bank. Key responsibilities include building customer relationships, recommending products, resolving customer issues, and engaging in customer outreach and advisory activities, including facilitating loan product applications.

What We're Looking For

Proficient in products, services, and routine transactions to educate customers and make appropriate referrals.,Possess broad knowledge of the full product suite, services, and processes.,Establish and nurture customer relationships through active listening and engagement.,Make product recommendations based on identified customer needs.,Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for proactive customer assessments and outbound sales activities.,Independently resolve customer issues and problems, escalating when necessary.,Engage customers in discussions about loan products and facilitate application intake.,Maintain active registration status with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Deliver a legendary customer experience by building relationships, providing service, and offering advice.,Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.,Act as a customer advocate, offering proactive tips, insights, and resolutions.,Engage in lobby leadership to manage customer flow, warmly welcome, and guide customers appropriately.,Educate customers on self-service banking options.,May perform various teller transactions, monitor for fraud, and adhere to operational policies.,Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Participate in daily store operations in alignment with TD's risk framework.,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.,Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes.,Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities.,Ensure accuracy of all prepared/completed documentation, reflecting client/business intentions and regulatory consistency.,Comply with the Bank's Code of Conduct.,Contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence.,Participate fully as a team member, fostering a positive work environment and promoting quality, innovation, and teamwork.,Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise, and participate in knowledge transfer.,Engage in personal performance management and development activities.,Establish relationships with partner bankers for effective referrals.,Collaborate with team members to contribute to team and organizational success.,Actively seek opportunities to improve work delivery with high attention to quality standards.,Take ownership of career and aspirations, seeking diverse feedback for continuous development.,Positively embrace change.,Adhere to TD's Shared Commitments and code of conduct expectations.,Be engaged in advancing and sustaining an inclusive culture.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED.,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity, or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience (preferred).,Teller experience (preferred).,Ability to complete teller training upon hire.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating on products and services (preferred).,Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, and consistent).,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.,Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem solving.,Proficient in Microsoft Office.,Notary License (preferred).
