Description

The Retail Banker I at TD Bank acts as a primary customer liaison, providing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking needs. This role involves identifying appropriate banking solutions to help customers achieve financial goals, building relationships, and proactively engaging in sales activities using customer relationship management tools. The banker is responsible for resolving customer issues, educating on products, and performing teller transactions while adhering to operational policies.

Proficient in products, services and routine transactions to identify education opportunities and refer to appropriate team members.,Establishes and nurtures customer relationships through product knowledge and active listening.,Makes product recommendations based on customer needs, highlighting features and benefits.,Utilizes customer relationship management tools for proactive customer assessments and outbound sales activities.,Independently resolves customer issues, escalating when necessary.,Engages in conversations about loan products and facilitates application intake.,Maintains active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Participates in Customer outreach, servicing and advice activities.,Delivers a Legendary customer experience, building trust and providing consultative support.,May perform teller transactions including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals, monitoring for fraud.,Ensures compliance with company guidelines and regulations (Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Participates in store daily operations, aligning with TD's risk framework.,Understands and applies operating policies and procedures.,Completes business processes and procedures accurately and timely.,Ensures documentation is accurate and reflects client/business intentions.,Complies with Bank Code of Conduct.,Contributes to a positive work environment, supporting teamwork and innovation.,Continuously enhances knowledge and participates in knowledge transfer.,Engages in personal performance management and development.,Establishes relationships with partner bankers for effective referrals.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales (volunteering, education, military experience preferred).,Teller experience preferred.,Ability to complete teller training upon hire.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services preferred.,Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent).,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.,Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem solving.,Proficient in Microsoft Office.,Notary License (Preferred).
