This Retail Banker I position at TD Bank in Norwalk/Westport involves serving as a primary contact for customers, providing financial expertise and consultative advice to help them achieve financial goals. The role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships, recommending banking solutions, processing transactions, and resolving issues, all while ensuring a positive customer experience and adherence to bank policies and regulations.

Deliver the TD Brand promise through financial expertise and consultative advice.,Contribute to business objectives by identifying and offering appropriate TD solutions.,Be proficient in banking products, services, and routine transactions.,Possess broad knowledge of the business area's full product suite, services, and processes.,Establish and nurture customer relationships through active listening and product knowledge.,Make product recommendations that support customer needs and financial goals.,Utilize customer relationship management tools for assessments and outbound sales activities.,Independently resolve customer issues or escalate when necessary.,Build working relationships and effectively communicate detailed information to customers.,Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.,Engage with customers regarding loan products and facilitate application intake.,Maintain active NMLS registration status.,Complete teller training upon hire.,Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures, escalating non-standard or high-risk transactions.,Ensure accuracy of documentation and consistency with rules/regulations.,Comply with the Bank Code of Conduct.,Contribute to operational excellence and adhere to risk and control policies.,Support a positive team environment, participate in knowledge transfer, and engage in personal development.,Act as a brand ambassador for the bank.,Collaborate with team members and partner bankers for referrals.,Seek opportunities for improvement and embrace change.,Adhere to TD's Shared Commitments and code of conduct.,Contribute to an inclusive culture.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity, or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience (preferred).,Teller experience (preferred).,Must be able to complete teller training upon hire.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services (preferred).,Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent.,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.,Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem solving.,Proficient in Microsoft Office.,Notary License (Preferred).,Must maintain active registration status with NMLS.,Eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.,Eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with NMLS (SAFE Act).,Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.
