The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison, leveraging financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with banking solutions and needs, contributing to business growth by identifying appropriate TD solutions to help customers achieve financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD.

What We're Looking For

Provide financial expertise and consultative advice to customers.,Identify and offer appropriate TD solutions to meet customer financial goals.,Maintain proficiency in banking products, services, and routine transactions.,Establish and nurture customer relationships through active listening and engagement.,Make product recommendations based on customer needs.,Utilize CRM tools for customer assessments and outbound sales activities.,Resolve customer issues independently and escalate when necessary.,Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.,Engage with customers regarding loan products and facilitate application intake.,Must maintain active NMLS registration status.,Deliver a "Legendary" customer experience, building trust and providing consultative support.,Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Participate in store daily operations, adhering to risk frameworks and operating policies.,Contribute to a positive work environment and participate in team activities.,Continuously enhance knowledge and expertise, and engage in personal development.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED.,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales (or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience) preferred.,Teller experience preferred.,Must be able to complete teller training upon hire.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services preferred.,Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, and consistent).,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.,Sound judgment in decision-making and effective problem-solving.,Proficient in Microsoft Office.,Notary License (Preferred).

Special Commitments

Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.,Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.,Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.,Occasional domestic travel.
