Description

The Retail Banker I serves as a customer liaison, utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking needs. This role is crucial for achieving business objectives by identifying suitable TD solutions that help customers meet their financial goals and enhance their relationship with the bank. Responsibilities include building customer relationships, understanding product offerings, proactive customer engagement, resolving issues, and advocating for customer financial confidence.

What We're Looking For

Proficiency in products, services, and routine transactions.,Ability to identify opportunities to educate customers on banking products/services or refer them to appropriate team members.,Broad knowledge and understanding of the full product suite, services, and processes within the business area.,Ability to establish and nurture customer relationships through consistent product knowledge and active listening.,Skill in making product recommendations based on customer needs, highlighting features and benefits.,Utilization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for proactive customer assessments and outbound sales activities.,Capability to independently resolve customer issues, errors, and problems, escalating when necessary.,Ability to build working relationships with customers and explain detailed or complicated information.,Participation in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.,Engagement in conversations with customers about loan products.,Commitment to delivering a 'Legendary experience' by helping customers, building relationships, and providing service and advice.,Understanding and support of the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.,Acting as a customer advocate to improve financial confidence, provide resolutions, and offer proactive tips and insights.

Ideal Candidate

High School Diploma or GED.,1+ years of experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity (or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, military experience preferred).,Teller experience preferred.,Must be able to complete teller training upon hire to take customer transactions.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services (preferred).,Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.
