Description

This role as a Retail Banker I at TD Bank involves acting as a customer liaison, using financial expertise to assist customers with banking solutions and needs. The individual will contribute to business objectives by identifying appropriate TD solutions to help customers achieve financial goals and optimize their relationship with the bank. Key aspects include product and service proficiency, establishing customer relationships, making product recommendations, proactive sales activities, and resolving customer issues.

What We're Looking For

Proficient in products, services, and routine transactions.,Ability to identify opportunities to educate customers on bank products and services.,Ability to establish and nurture customer relationships.,Ability to make product recommendations based on customer needs.,Utilize Customer relationship management tools for customer assessments and outbound sales.,Independently resolve customer issues, errors, and problems.,Engage in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitate application intake.,Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS.,Complete teller training upon hire.,Engage in lobby leadership.,Perform various teller transactions.,Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Understand and apply operating policies and procedures.,Support timely and accurate completion of business processes.,Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions.,Ensure accurate documentation.,Comply with Bank Code of Conduct.

Ideal Candidate

HS Diploma or GED.,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity or equivalent (volunteering, education, military experience) preferred.,Teller experience preferred.,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services preferred.,Demonstrated organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.,Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent.,Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.,Sound judgment in decision making and effective problem solving.,Proficient in Microsoft Office.,Notary License (Preferred).

Special Commitments

Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS.,Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under the standards established by Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act.,Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS in accordance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act).,Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.
