Description

The Retail Banker I serves as a key customer liaison at TD Bank, leveraging financial expertise and consultative skills to assist customers with their banking needs. This role involves identifying and offering appropriate TD solutions to help customers achieve their financial goals and deepen their relationship with the bank, thereby contributing to business growth. Responsibilities include demonstrating proficiency in banking products and services, educating customers, making referrals, building and nurturing customer relationships, and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience.

Proficiency in banking products, services, and routine transactions.

Ability to identify customer needs and educate them on suitable banking solutions.

Skill in referring customers to appropriate team members or internal partners.

Comprehensive knowledge of the bank's full product suite and processes.

A strong ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.

Active listening skills to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.

Capability to utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for customer assessments and outbound sales activities.

Adeptness at independently resolving customer issues and knowing when to escalate.

Ability to explain complex information clearly to customers.

Willingness to undergo job-related training to achieve full proficiency.

Participation in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.

Commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Understanding and supporting the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.

Advocating for customers to improve their financial confidence and providing proactive financial insights.

Ideal Candidate

High School Diploma or GED

1+ years of experience working with customers and/or sales (can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience) preferred

Teller experience preferred

Must be able to complete teller training upon hire

Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating on products and services preferred

Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, and consistent)

Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work

Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines

Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Notary License preferred
