The Retail Banker I acts as a customer liaison, using financial expertise and consultative advice to help customers with their banking needs. This role aims to achieve business objectives by identifying suitable TD solutions that assist customers in reaching their financial goals and strengthening their relationship with TD. The position involves understanding customer needs, recommending products, resolving issues, and engaging in proactive customer outreach.

What We're Looking For

Proficiency in banking products, services, and routine transactions to educate customers and make referrals.,Ability to establish and nurture customer relationships through consistent product knowledge and active listening.,Making product recommendations based on customer needs and highlighting features and benefits.,Utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for assessments and outbound sales activities.,Independently resolving customer issues, escalating when necessary.,Building working relationships with customers and explaining detailed information.,Participating in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities.,Engaging in conversations about loan products and facilitating application intake.,Maintaining active registration with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Delivering a legendary customer experience by building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating for customers.,Serving as a customer advocate to improve financial confidence, provide resolutions, and offer proactive tips.,Orchestrating customer flow in the lobby, welcoming, discovering initial needs, and guiding customers.,Educating customers on self-service banking options, including digital channels.,Performing teller transactions (check cashing, deposits, transfers, withdrawals) while monitoring fraud and adhering to policies.,Ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act).,Participating in store daily operations to align with TD's risk framework.,Understanding and applying operating policies and procedures.,Supporting the timely and accurate completion of business processes.,Escalating non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities.,Ensuring accurate documentation consistent with rules/regulations.,Complying with the Bank Code of Conduct.,Contributing to business objectives for Operational Excellence.,Participating as a team member, supporting a positive work environment, and sharing knowledge.,Continuously enhancing personal knowledge and expertise.,Keeping others informed about project status and daily activities.,Contributing to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.,Acting as a brand ambassador for the business area and the Bank.,Utilizing feedback for performance improvement.,Establishing relationships with partner bankers for effective referrals.,Collaborating with team members for success.,Actively seeking opportunities to improve work delivery with high quality standards.,Taking ownership of career development and embracing change.,Adhering to TD's Shared Commitments and code of conduct.,Engaging in advancing an inclusive culture that reflects TD's diversity agenda.

Ideal Candidate

High School Diploma or GED,1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales (including volunteering, education, military experience preferred),Teller experience preferred,Ability to complete teller training upon hire,Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating on products and services (preferred),Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent),Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work,Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines,Sound judgment in decision-making and effective problem-solving,Proficient in Microsoft Office,Notary License (Preferred)
