Responsable Logistique / Logistics Lead

Description

The Logistics Lead at McGill St Laurent is responsible for supporting and managing the operational execution of trading activities. This role involves close collaboration with traders, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure efficient planning, monitoring, and execution of transportation, logistics coordination, and inventory flows. The Logistics Lead plays a crucial role in aligning daily operations with group performance standards and supporting the organization's growth and scalability.

What We're Looking For

Act as the main operational point of contact for traders.

Own end-to-end execution of logistics, import, export, and delivery activities.

Manage import and export operations, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and reliability.

Oversee outbound shipments and maintain clear visibility on in-transit inventory.

Ensure inventory accuracy, traceability, and alignment between systems and physical stock.

Manage relationships with warehouses, reloads, carriers, and logistics partners.

Handle quality issues, claims, and disputes with suppliers and mills.

Document and standardize processes to support scalability and growth.

Continuously improve workflows, controls, and operational visibility.

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of relevant experience in logistics and transportation.

Preferably in the wood, forest products, or commodities sector.

Valid driver's license for travel to Prévost.
