Relationship Manager Intern, Commercial Financial Services

Description

This internship offers a proactive, client-facing role within RBC's Commercial Banking platform, typically lasting around 10 months. Interns will receive coaching from a mentor and on-the-job training, self-study, online courses, and classroom training. The position prepares individuals to provide responsive financial services, including accounts, operating services, credit, lending, and deposits, to commercial business clients.

What We're Looking For

Deliver value-added financial advice and tailored solutions to clients.,Utilize sales tools for planning, prospecting, and pre-call preparation.,Continuously improve the client experience.,Develop needs-based sales strategies to grow revenue, deepen client relationships, and ensure high client loyalty.,Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending (preferred) and previous banking experience in a relationship management role.,Demonstrated success in business development, including client acquisition, prospecting, and cold calling.,Experience with financial statement review, computer modeling, and analysis.,Familiarity with emerging communications and technology (web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, mobile applications).

Ideal Candidate

Post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in commerce or business administration, or related experience (Must-have).,Passion for providing quality advice and fulfilling client needs (Nice-to-have).,Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills (Nice-to-have).,Entrepreneurial attitude and self-motivation to achieve above average results (Nice-to-have).,Continuous learner with deep curiosity for understanding diverse customers and staying updated on client needs, procedures, and relevant products (Nice-to-have).
