Description

This is an approximately 9-month internship program within RBC's Commercial Banking platform, specifically for Indigenous Markets. The intern will be in a proactive, face-to-face client relationship role, primarily based in a Commercial Centre. The program includes on-the-job training, self-study, online courses, and classroom training, with a mentor assigned for coaching. Upon successful completion, the candidate will be assigned a portfolio with an Indigenous banking specialization and is expected to deliver excellent financial services to commercial business clients, including accounts, operating services, credit, lending, and deposits.

What We're Looking For

Deliver value-added financial advice and solutions tailored to clients.,Leverage sales enabling tools, including sales planning, prospecting, and pre-call planning.,Apply a continuous-improvement approach to delivering a superior client experience.,Develop a needs-based sales strategy for all clients and prospects to grow revenue, deepen client relationships, and achieve high client loyalty.,Embedded in the Indigenous culture and industry.,Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending preferred.,Previous banking experience in a relationship management role preferred.,Demonstrated success in a business development role, especially with respect to the acquisition of new clients, prospecting, and cold calling.,Financial statement review and computer modeling and analysis experience.,Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).

Individual who is embedded in the Indigenous culture and industry.,A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in commerce or business administration, or related experience.
