Description

As a Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking at CIBC, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial clients. This involves proactively developing new business opportunities, understanding client goals, and providing comprehensive financial solutions. You will collaborate with internal partners and build a presence in the local business community to deliver flexible business solutions, expert advice, and exceptional client service to help clients achieve their financial objectives.

What We're Looking For

Develop new client relationships through business development activities, leveraging referral sources, existing clients and centers of influence.,Actively monitor and manage client relationships by fully understanding their goals, purpose, and business status.,Work with internal partners to connect clients with opportunities.,Build a profile in the local business community to foster effective working relationships.,Proactively assess client needs and propose solutions.,Interact with assigned clients to facilitate prompt response to questions, inquiries, or issues.,Apply industry/company knowledge to develop client/prospect proposals for financial and strategic solutions.,Manage the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients that have credit needs and/or complex cash management requirements.

Ideal Candidate

Degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.,Demonstrated experience in Commercial or Business Banking.,Demonstrated business development skills.,Sound understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis.,Experience managing the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients.
