Description

The Relationship Manager Business Markets Intern at Royal Bank of Canada will provide business and financial advice to small business clients, manage a client portfolio, and act as RBC's ambassador in the local business market. This role involves external marketing, client acquisition, deepening relationships, and partnering with other RBC advisors to deliver comprehensive financial solutions. The intern will proactively engage with clients, understand their evolving needs, manage risks, champion digital enablement, and conduct on-site client visits to gain a deeper understanding of their operations.

What We're Looking For

Acquire, grow and deepen client relationships through value-added, tailored financial advice.,Proactively contact clients, gather insights, understand needs and ongoing satisfaction.,Plan and prioritize client and market activities, identify opportunities, and make introductions to RBC partners.,Manage risk and exercise due diligence in banking procedures, develop action plans for concerns/risks.,Champion digital enablement and advocate for RBC mobile and online applications.,Visit clients on-site to understand business objectives and operations.,Business development and client acquisition and prospecting skills, including building and leveraging valuable Centres of Influence.,Proven track record in exceptional client relationship management.,Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.

Ideal Candidate

Credit skills and knowledge, including understanding of risk assessments, financial analyses, credit structuring/solutions, and deal presentations (Nice-to-have).,Completion of the Associate Account Manager training program, or previous experience as a small business owner, or in a similar field (Nice-to-have).,Good knowledge of a broad array of business and personal financial products and services (Nice-to-have).
