This role is for a Regional Manager, Human Resources for Saputo Inc. in the Atlantic Region (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland). The manager will provide strategic and operational HR leadership, align regional HR initiatives with business goals, build relationships with employees and leaders, provide HR policy advice, contribute to workforce planning, manage employee relations and engagement, oversee regional recruitment and onboarding, and ensure HR operations and compliance.
Partner with HR Director on regional HR initiatives and corporate HR strategy.
Build strong relationships with employees and leaders.
Provide expert advice on HR policies and practices.
Contribute to workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and talent development.
Analyze HR metrics for decision-making.
Serve as primary contact for employee relations, coaching leaders on performance, conduct, and conflict.
Support performance management processes.
Strengthen communication and feedback channels.
Maintain a regular presence on the floor.
Experience partnering with union representatives, supporting negotiations, grievances, and labour relations.
Contribute to regional employee engagement and social culture initiatives.
Oversee regional execution of recruitment processes.
Coach hiring managers in selection.
Lead onboarding activities and facilitate new hire orientation.
Provide day-to-day HR support, guidance on payroll, and oversee leave-of-absence processes.
Maintain Workday HRIS administration and ensure compliance.
Participate in HR projects and process improvements.
University degree/college diploma in human resources management or a related field.
5–8 years of progressive HR experience.
2–3 years experience in a leadership role.
Ideally in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Working knowledge of human resources and applicable laws and regulations related to benefits, pay, and health and safety.
Experience working with HRIS platforms; Workday experience preferred.
University degree/college diploma in human resources management or a related field
Monday to Friday, during regular business hours; flexibility is both required and supported
Willingness to travel within the Atlantic region, Experience partnering with union representatives, Flexibility in work schedule
