Project Manager, Technology Infrastructure

Description

The Technology Infrastructure Project Manager at CIBC will oversee and manage technology infrastructure projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role also involves contributing to the organizational knowledge of project management and enhancing the skillset of other Project Managers within the US Technology Operations team.

What We're Looking For

Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables.,Coordinate project activities, tasks, and dependencies.,Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate updates, and manage expectations.,Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners.,Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges.,Allocate resources effectively and coordinate with resource managers.,Monitor project budget and expenditures, tracking costs and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.,Prepare regular reports on project budget status and financial performance.,Define and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.,Conduct quality reviews and inspections.,Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and requirements, assessing impacts and obtaining approvals.,Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders and project team members.,Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports.,Establish a knowledge repository for lessons learned, best practices, and project artifacts.,Contribute to the maturation journey of the Technology Operations PMO.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Technology Infrastructure projects, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.,Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.,Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) required.,Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and with high quality.,Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management approaches.,Sound understanding of technology infrastructure concepts, including data centers, networks, servers, storage, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.,Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planview, JIRA) and collaboration tools.,Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.,Ability to work cross-functionally with internal business partners and CIBC lines of businesses.
