Description

The Project Director at CIBC is responsible for leading and delivering project and program portfolios within Enterprise Risk Management, ensuring alignment with CIBC's business strategy and regulatory requirements. This role involves applying established project management best practices, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving a high-performance culture to achieve successful project outcomes. The individual will manage work activities within a hybrid arrangement.

Deliver on the project/program portfolio for Enterprise Risk Management, aligning with CIBC’s business strategy and regulatory requirements.,Lead and deliver successful projects and programs by applying established project management best practices, governance, and standardized delivery processes.,Champion a high-performance culture, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure initiatives support business priorities.,Demonstrate proven results through strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.,Build consensus and manage conflicting viewpoints through effective negotiation and influencing.,Possess experience with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.,Lead cross-functional teams, adapting effectively to evolving and ambiguous environments.,Engage stakeholders, end-users, and team members with strong communication, presenting complex information clearly.,Build and maintain productive relationships with business, technology partners, and external vendors.,Deliver innovative solutions and simplify complex processes to enhance user experience and improve efficiency.,Provide leadership throughout all phases of project and program delivery, ensuring strategic alignment and optimal resource utilization.

Ideal Candidate

A minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in the financial services sector, with a strong background in Program/Project delivery.,Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to communicate knowledge effectively.,Critical thinking skills to inform decision-making.,Ability to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results.,Embrace and champion change.,Driven by collective success and values teamwork.,Influence and impact through relationships and networks.,Lives by values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
