This role within Global Functions Technology (GFT) at RBC focuses on delivering innovative IT solutions across various corporate functions. The Project Delivery Manager will lead and manage multiple projects within the Finance IT Data Delivery platform, utilizing Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, and iterative methodologies. The position involves driving project planning, execution, and implementation, ensuring business objectives are met within budget and timeframe. It also includes championing strong governance, communicating progress, removing impediments, and continuously improving team performance.
Own, lead, and manage project/program delivery for Finance IT Data delivery services group, using Agile and Iterative Waterfall methods.,Ensure business goals are achieved within approved timeframes, scope, and budget.,Champion strong program governance and execution assurance processes, integrating project plans.,Communicate cross-functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes.,Facilitate status updates, including project financials and running concurrent Agile/IWF projects.,Remove impediments through proactive management of external dependencies, critical thinking, and problem-solving.,Continuously improve team performance by promoting joint accountability.,Develop and manage detailed schedules, identify early warning indicators, and provide risk resolution.,Oversee financials and staffing levels to meet project delivery requirements.,Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g., Vendors, RBC IT teams, Product).,Build and present reporting for management-level presentations.,Ensure completion of risk assessments and execution of contingency plans.,Coach the scrum team to apply appropriate processes for successful product creation.,Establish strong working relationships across technical/business units and platforms.,Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and integrate initiatives into RBC procedures.
2-5 years of Agile Project Delivery Management and/or Scrum Master experience, including both waterfall and agile projects in large transactional data processing environments.,Proven ability to manage high-visibility projects with third-party vendors and significant technology components.,Strong presence, advanced communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.,Proven hands-on experience with Agile Project Management workflows (milestones, critical paths, product & sprint backlogs, work back schedules, release burndown).,Advanced hands-on working experience in Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint, and other related Project Management tools and methodologies.,Experience working with Finance, Risk, or Capital Market Projects with a focus on highly transactional Data processing applications.,Strong knowledge of change management and risk management, working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).,PMP Designation or Certified Scrum Master/Coach.
