The role involves implementing features across various online systems for Fortnite game modes (Battle Royale, LEGO, Rocket Racing, Disney experiences) and developing tools/APIs for creators using Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN). This position contributes to Unreal Engine's evolution by designing new tools and APIs for AAA game developers to integrate online features. The systems are multi-platform, covering desktops, consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo), and mobile platforms. The role also contributes to the foundations of the future metaverse (UE6) with a focus on client-side systems and dedicated servers, collaborating with Backend and game teams to ensure robust and secure systems.
