Description

The Production Manager in Franklin, WI, will oversee a new 340,000 square foot cheese conversion facility. This role involves providing leadership and direction across various operational areas including administration, production, processing, packaging, scheduling, sanitation, quality, purchasing, safety, and environmental management. Key responsibilities include optimizing Saputo's North American cheese network, maintaining high quality and safety standards, controlling costs, and continuously improving operational efficiencies through analysis and established procedures.

What We're Looking For

Direct overall activities to ensure customer orders are met at the lowest possible cost while maintaining safety and quality standards.,Analyze plant operations and key metrics to ensure high quality and safety standards.,Manage and control expenses, including shrink, labor, and overhead costs, utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques and a Management Operating Structure (MOS).,Analyze downtime through effective root cause analysis to continuously improve operational efficiencies and processes.,Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of the business.,Cooperate in a cross-functional manner as a change agent with all departments.,Ensure products meet regulatory standards.,Assist Technical Support staff on resolution of customer complaints and issues of product quality.,Engage in typical managerial responsibilities including planning, training, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating.,Provide management of employees directly or through supervisors for effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management.

Ideal Candidate

At least 2 years of supervisory experience.,Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies.
