Description

The Product Owner Payment role at National Bank of Canada involves being a key part of the Payments team, responsible for delivering secure and reliable business capabilities for all domestic payment rails, including TFE, EDI, BBE integrations, FSRB compliance, and related banking processes. The role requires participation in Payments Canada rules and standards, contributing to modernization efforts, collaborating with Architecture and Security teams for robust solutions, and working with various internal and external partners to ensure end-to-end consistency and operational efficiency. Continuous product improvement to meet current and future needs is also a core responsibility.

What We're Looking For

Participate in work related to Payments Canada rules, standards and guidelines, including FSRB developments, to ensure technical and operational compliance.,Contribute to modernisation exercises (e.g., migrations to new services, National Bank integration, EFT/EDI transformation).,Work closely with the Architecture and Security teams to ensure the robustness, resilience and compliance of payment solutions.,Work with other Batch and domestic Payment POs, as well as all IT, OPS and regulatory partners, to ensure end-to-end consistency of solutions, compliance with Payments Canada's national requirements and operational efficiency across the organisation.,Continuously make improvements and corrections to the product to enhance the experience to meet current and future needs.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.,Experience delivering solutions as a product owner (PO).,Knowledge of Canadian payment frameworks or rules (ACSS/SACR, FSRB, Payments Canada guidelines) an important asset.,Experience in a highly regulated field (payments, banking, financial services).,Excellent communication and ability to influence.,Ability to work in a complex environment, with several stakeholders, and make informed decisions quickly.
