Description

The Product Management Director will be a key member of the Fortnite Creator Ecosystem team, responsible for defining product strategy through data and market insights. This role focuses on empowering creators to function as game publishers by providing essential tools, insights, and support for the entire lifecycle of game creation, launch, growth, and monetization. The core responsibilities include establishing a robust creator publishing ecosystem and supporting sustainable creator monetization. The Director will manage a crucial segment of Fortnite's developer economy, setting strategic direction, overseeing execution, and ensuring monetization systems are balanced, scalable, compliant with policies, and beneficial for creators.

What We're Looking For

Own the strategy and roadmap for a segment of Fortnite's developer economy, with a focus on direct monetization products that balance creator value, player trust, and platform sustainability.,Lead cross-functional development of monetization systems, collaborating closely with Engineering and Design to translate strategy into scalable and reliable products.,Partner deeply with Policy, Legal, and Trust & Safety teams to ensure monetization products are compliant, transparent, and aligned with Epic's principles and ecosystem governance.,Define and track key success metrics and economic health indicators, utilizing data, experimentation, and qualitative insights to inform prioritization and iteration.,Guide go-to-market and change management for monetization capabilities, including internal enablement and external creator communication.,Collaborate with Analytics and Insights to evaluate ecosystem performance, test hypotheses, and identify opportunities to improve creator outcomes and platform efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

10+ years of Product Management experience across live operations, virtual economy management, and feature/system design.,A passion for games and a deep understanding of growth, retention, and monetization principles and mechanics that create value for players.,Proven ability to design, launch, and operate monetization products in environments involving policy, fraud, and economic tradeoffs.,Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Policy, Legal, Engineering, and Analytics.,Strong analytical background — experience working closely with data, analytics, or data science, and using metrics to drive decisions.,Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience writing concept pitches and product requirement documents.,User-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative traits.
