Product Group Technology Lead, Data and Metadata Modeling

Description

The Product Group Technology Lead for Metadata & Technology Data Modeling at TD Bank will lead the strategic development and governance of enterprise data models, building ontologies, and creating solution frameworks to enable scalable and trusted data capabilities. This role involves overseeing cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated, user-centric platforms and knowledge graphs, supporting data product enablement, model governance, and enterprise-wide data curation in alignment with TD’s regulatory and business priorities.

What We're Looking For

Design and implement data models (conceptual, logical, physical) aligned with enterprise architecture.,Develop and maintain ontology models for semantic interoperability, advanced analytics, data marketplaces, data catalogs, and data mesh architecture.,Establish and lead data model governance forums, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.,Define and enforce data mesh modeling and design standards, promoting decentralized data ownership.,Model and manage data mesh structures in RDF triple stores, ensuring semantic consistency and scalability.,Collaborate with stakeholders on metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance with governance policies.,Provide guidance on semantic technologies, linked data principles, and integration with enterprise systems.,Apply FAIR Principles to data modeling and governance activities.,Ensure alignment with industry-standard modeling practices (e.g., ISO standards, W3C recommendations).,Work closely with partners to ensure technical solutions meet technical direction, requirements, budget, scalability, and architectural goals.,Participate in business planning, define technology delivery approach, and leverage synergies.,Act as a lead expert to ensure compliance with enterprise and segment standards.,Monitor and manage incident escalation process.,Identify and implement opportunities to minimize and reduce costs.,Collaborate on software quality assurance reviews.,Drive and execute on target state and roadmap-based investments.,Execute on strategic solution planning activities or POCs.,Anticipate internal/external business and regulatory issues; recommend improvements.,Manage resource requirements and assignment, ensuring project milestones and budget adherence.,Oversee business expenses and FTE plans.,Maintain knowledge of external development, technology, and emerging solutions.,Proactively identify emerging technologies and innovative solutions.,Interact with governance and control groups to provide subject matter expertise on risk issues.,Protect the organization's interests, identify and manage risks.,Participate fully as a team member, support a positive work environment.,Provide thought leadership and participate in knowledge transfer.,Keep current on emerging trends and grow business knowledge.,Participate in personal performance management and development.,Contribute to team development through mentorship.,Work collaboratively to identify and resolve product quality issues.,Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external business partners.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred),Certifications and deep experience in Data Modelling/Semantic Ontology Development preferred
