Product Group Technology Lead 1

Description

This role involves leading technical solutions for product groups, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical, budget, scalability, and architectural goals. It requires leveraging deep technology expertise, participating in business planning, managing incident escalations, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards. The lead also contributes to strategic solution planning, executes target state investments, and drives innovation in product and software solutions. The role also includes managing resources, overseeing expenses, identifying emerging technologies, interacting with governance groups on risk, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment through mentorship and collaboration. The individual will lead technical solutions for multiple pods or product groups and possess expert knowledge in technology domains, including in-house and third-party architecture integration frameworks, tools, processes, and TD's specific systems and standards.

Work closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet technical direction, requirements, budget, scalability, and architectural goals, considering all risks and impacts.,Leverage deep technology expertise to support in the creation and delivery of end-to-end technical solutions and help drive business outcomes.,Participate in business planning discussions and define the technology delivery approach, leveraging synergies across teams and applications.,Act as lead expert to ensure compliance with enterprise and segment standards.,Monitor and manage incident escalation process.,Identify and implement opportunities to minimize and reduce costs.,Collaborate with partners and project teams on software quality assurance reviews.,Drive and execute on target state and roadmap-based investments.,Execute on strategic solution planning activities or POCs.,Anticipate internal/external business and regulatory issues; recommend process/product/organizational improvements.,Manage resource requirements and assignment, ensuring project milestones are met.,Oversee business expenses and FTE plans.,Maintain knowledge and understanding of external development, technology, and emerging solutions.,Proactively identify emerging technologies and innovative solutions.,Interact with governance and control groups to provide subject matter expertise on risk issues.,Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks.,Participate fully as a member of the team, supporting a positive work environment.,Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for quality engineering best practices.,Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship.,Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external business partners.,Lead technical solutions for 2 or more pods and/or at the product group level.,Possess expert knowledge of specific domain or range of experience in technology domains, including in-house and third-party architecture integration frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.,Possess expert knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business/organization, Bank standards, regulatory, and compliance standards.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate (Graduate degree preferred).,7+ years of development and technology delivery experience (Agile Delivery Experience preferred).,Preferred: Workflow engineering design and implementation expertise with workflows for metadata management & governance tasks; builds REST callbacks and microservices (Java/Spring Boot) to automate governance steps; strong with Collibra or comparable industry products.,Preferred: REST APIs and webhook patterns. API design & integration at scale; delivering secure, versioned, well‑documented APIs that integrate catalog/governance with disparate data source technologies such as ETL tools (e.g., ADF/Informatica), databases (e.g., Oracle/SQL Server/Azure SQL/Synapse), and BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau); familiarity with OAuth2 and service‑to‑service auth principals.,Preferred: Metadata harvesting & end‑to‑end lineage automation.,Preferred: Governance operating model fluency; operationalizing roles like Data Owner, BAO, TAO, Steward; enforces enterprise policies/standards through workflow, catalog controls, and measurable SLAs/SLOs.,Preferred: Regulatory & domain context (banking); practical understanding of Risk/Finance/Treasury data and key regulations/reporting (e.g., Basel, CCAR/DFAST, 2052a, LCR/NSFR).,Preferred: Platform engineering for the catalog; builds reliable ingestion pipelines, handles schema evolution, and ensures CI/CD, monitoring, and cost/performance for catalog services across Azure data platforms.,Preferred: Product leadership & stakeholder influence; translates the data governance vision into a clear roadmap, partners across BAO/TAO/Owners, and drives adoption/training across segments.,Preferred: Security, privacy & access controls; implementation of RBAC, classification, approval trails, and defensible audit logs across the catalog and connected services.
