This role is for a Product Group Technology Lead (PGTL) focused on Automated Classification & Enrichment (ACE). The PGTL is responsible for enabling and scaling capabilities to automatically discover, classify, tag, and enrich data and metadata across the bank. Key aspects include owning the ACE product vision, roadmap, and implementation, aiming to provide high-quality, enriched, and trusted metadata to consumers.
Define and own the ACE product vision, roadmap, and value stream, including enterprise rollout of DSPM for discovery, automated classification and tagging services, enrichment pipelines, lineage/code-scan hooks, and telemetry/log ingestion.,Establish standards and pipelines for continuous data asset discovery and metadata production at scale (sensitivity labels, ownership, glossary mappings, domain taxonomy, criticality, usage, jurisdictions), ensuring quality, completeness, and freshness.,Automate the attachment of business context to technical assets for governable, searchable data, suitable for downstream control design and monitoring.,Lead cross-disciplinary teams (data platform, privacy, catalog/lineage, DevOps), setting engineering standards, SLAs/SLOs, and automation-first practices for reliable, scalable ACE services.,Integrate ACE with catalog/metadata lake, lineage harvesting, identity/authorization directories, data pipelines, and observability platforms.,Drive adoption via reference architectures, onboarding kits, and migration patterns; partner with domains and control partners to embed discovery outputs.,Lead vendor/tool discovery, evaluation, and selection; define enterprise deployment approach for multi-cloud and federated on-prem environments.,Design scalable onboarding patterns for connectors and collectors across various data sources and platforms.,Establish capacity and performance strategies (scheduling, parallelization, throttling, load management).,Plan environment integration consistent with enterprise architecture and separation-of-duties principles.,Operate central services for findings classification and routing to control owners; maintain runbooks.,Implement classification models and labeling rules; promote default labeling patterns to reduce unknown assets.,Maintain taxonomies and tagging schemes; manage versioning and change control.,Generate and curate business metadata (ownership, glossary terms, use-case tags, jurisdictions, retention context, lineage associations).,Establish metadata quality controls and resolve duplicates, conflicts, and drift.,Feed enriched metadata to enterprise catalog and lineage stores; align identifiers for asset-level traceability.,Define SLOs for scan frequency, ingestion latency, metadata freshness, and catalog publish; implement dashboards and alerting.,Produce audit-ready evidence for discovery and classification activities; publish insight packs for control owners.,Engage Privacy, Security, Records/Information Management, BISOs, Data Owners/Stewards, Platform COEs, and Domain PGTLs.,Facilitate QBRs and program reviews; drive consensus on policies, waivers, and data/metadata standards.
10+ years across data engineering, data governance/management, privacy engineering, or metadata/catalog platforms.,5+ years leading cross-functional platform/product teams.,Demonstrated delivery of enterprise discovery, automated classification, and enrichment using DSPM, catalog, and lineage technologies.,Infrastructure proficiency deploying discovery platforms at scale in multi-cloud and federated on-prem environments, including: modern application runtime and automation approaches; core networking and connectivity concepts; extensible connector/collector patterns for diverse data sources; operational monitoring, alerting, and service-level management.,Strong architecture skills integrating discovery pipelines with catalog/metadata lake, lineage, identity directories, data pipelines, and observability stacks.,Expertise in taxonomy design, glossary management, and metadata quality practices.,Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication.,Experience with progressive rollout strategies, capacity planning, and cost/performance optimization of large-scale scanning workloads.,Familiarity with financial-services data protection and records requirements.
