Lightspeed is seeking a Product Designer II to join their Capital team. This role focuses on creating elegant user experiences for merchants seeking funding, transforming complex workflows into simple, clear customer journeys, and seamlessly integrating user-friendly interfaces with existing systems. The ideal candidate will define the product vision through iterative design and delivery, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers, and identifying opportunities to deliver significant value to customers.
Own and lead full design cycles for features or product areas, seeking guidance when necessary.,Participate in design reviews and working sessions to develop effective and thoughtful solutions.,Translate requirements and ideas into clear, usable product features.,Contribute to design reviews and refine solutions with the team.,Proactively explore and integrate AI and emerging technologies into the design approach.,Possess UX expertise and understanding of design systems, UI design, and micro-interactions.,Design holistic systems, flows, and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly.,Understand and utilize design systems to ensure consistency across platforms and contribute to their improvement.,Use research and data insights to inform design decisions.,Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to align on user needs, balancing usability with business goals.,Work with cross-functional partners and contribute positively to team culture.,Be open to feedback and eager to learn from peers and senior designers.,Maintain a curious, experimental mindset, shipping experiments quickly to get customer signals and using feedback for improvements.,Utilize qualitative data and quantitative interviews to inform design and product decisions.
At least 4 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.,Experience designing fintech products in a fast-paced environment.,Clear communication skills to explain design decisions and collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.,Solid visual design skills and attention to detail, with a drive to continuously refine craft.,Curiosity to learn and adopt new tools, including how AI can enhance the user experience and improve the design process.,Applied experience working across all digital and physical manifestations of design (responsive web, native applications, next technological leaps).,An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy for both the customer and team goals.,An understanding and ability to consider product strategy and vision, focusing on 'why' designs are created.,An arsenal of design tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA, and other prototyping tools.
