Product Design Manager, Retail Classic

Translate complex business objectives into clear, actionable solutions, identifying problems proactively and integrating AI/emerging technologies.,Develop and communicate holistic design strategies based on quantitative and qualitative insights, partnering with product managers to ensure user needs are central.,Demonstrate deep expertise in design system principles, AI integration, and industry standards, leading teams in defining and evolving the design system for scalability and consistency.,Provide mentorship and clear growth paths for team members, foster a high-performing culture, oversee project delivery, manage workload and backlogs, establish efficient processes, build strong cross-functional relationships, and maintain high standards.,4+ years of industry experience in a people management role on a Design team; experience in matrix organizations is a plus.,Applied experience within the retail industry, with strong service design foundations and a mindset of optimizing design process for efficacy.,Acute self-awareness and deep empathy for both customer and team goals.,A tenured, evolutionary perspective on technology, product, and design practices.,Ability and appetite for working across all digital and physical manifestations of design.,Passion for mentoring executives, product managers, and engineers to deliver user-centered solutions.,Excellent communication and data visualization skills to engage stakeholders and support decisions with focus and brevity.,Deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision.,Experience with Agile design sprint methodologies, tools, and processes, including the Jira platform.,Fluency with product, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Google Suite, and Miro.

Foundational design-related education (Bachelor of Design, Visual Arts, Architecture, Industrial Design, or Communication).

Bachelor's Degree
