The Royal Bank of Canada (RBCx) is seeking a Product Design Lead for Mydoh, an app focused on youth money management. This role involves leading a small design team, defining design strategy, enhancing design quality, and advocating for user needs. The lead will be instrumental in shaping the future of financial education for young Canadians.

What We're Looking For

Lead a small design team, define design strategy, and elevate craft.,Shape and communicate a compelling design vision for Mydoh.,Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Analytics to define, influence, and track OKRs and KPIs.,Uphold an uncompromising standard of detail and quality across UX and UI, ensuring brand and visual consistency.,Evolve the scalable Design System and improve operational efficiency through streamlined workflows.,Champion continuous learning by validating assumptions through research, experimentation, and behavioral insights.,Act as a strong advocate for users, ensuring their needs drive product decisions.,Manage and mentor a small team of designers, fostering growth and creative ambition.,Build strong, proactive partnerships with various cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data, Strategy, Payments, Brand, Performance Marketing, Research, CE, Ops).,Drive alignment, unblock progress, and ensure cohesive customer experiences.

Ideal Candidate

Must-Haves:

6–8+ years designing impactful consumer-facing digital products with strong mobile UX experience.

1–3+ years managing or coaching designers on a small team.

A portfolio demonstrating strategic design leadership and measurable product results.

Experience designing for conversion and optimization, from defining success metrics to tracking data.

Expert in Figma and modern design workflow tools.

Ability to drive clarity in ambiguity, influence without authority, and build trust with stakeholders.

A driver mindset – pushing work from great idea to polished delivery to real impact.

Passion for raising standards, simplifying complexity, and getting things done.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience in fintech, banking, youth products, or gamified learning environments.

Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design practices.

Comfort with motion or illustration to drive playful engagement.
