Build and maintain a portfolio of high-net-worth clients through networking, telemarketing, seminars, trade shows, and other marketing tools.,Apply extensive in-depth knowledge to present a broad array of products and services, including individual equities, fixed-income offerings, managed products, third-party investments, and insurance.,Own processes and milestones, connecting people and networks, and leveraging the Bank’s broader team.,Devise new methods to advise clients using strong analytic and inductive thinking, delivering high-quality technology and service.,Develop strong working relationships with clients and third parties such as Accountants.,Understand specific client needs, including risk tolerance and long-term objectives, to recommend appropriate asset mixes.,Proactively communicate with clients, manage meetings, handle enquiries, provide information, and identify new opportunities to grow assets under management.,Grow the client base and increase assets under management by developing and following a comprehensive business and marketing plan.,Monitor overall portfolio and individual client situations for maximum productivity and profitability.,Maintain a positive public visibility within the assigned market area.,Regularly review major business and economic events to identify impact and potential business growth.,Proactively approach business development activities to identify, attract, and win new business from sophisticated high-net-worth clients.,Develop new business through consolidating assets from existing clients, client referrals, and referrals from external professionals.,Network regularly with existing customers and internal/external referral sources.,Utilize appropriate opportunity management techniques to increase profitability and minimize risks.,Build relationships with other business partners for seamless and timely service delivery.,Manage assigned Associate Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Associate, including performance management.,Proactively work with key CIBC partners in Private Wealth Management.,Maintain communication channels with CIBC Wealth Management partners for business growth.,Draw upon the sales leadership of the Market Leader to resolve complex issues and conflicts with clients.,Participate in sales coaching sessions to continue development of investment knowledge, skills, and understanding of CPIC's unique service offering.,Participate in the high-performance sales culture as part of PWM / CPIC.,Support the Investment Counsellor through the Investment Policy cycle from creation to trading implementation.,Ensure day-to-day activities are compliant with policies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation/regulations, escalating potential issues.,Maintain appropriate industry registration status.,Keep up-to-date with current events, overall economic and financial environment, trends, products, and selling techniques.,Analyze market data to identify activities or conditions that may impact business.
Degree in business or a related field.,MBA is an asset.,Accredited professional with a CFA or CIM designation (or equivalent) and eligible to be fully registered as ICPM.,CFP, CPA, LLB, TEP, and/or FEA are assets.,Developed relationship management skills.,Investment credibility to make persuasive recommendations to sophisticated, knowledgeable, and high-net-worth clients.,Extensive investment industry knowledge and experience in structuring individual, complex investment solutions for high net worth clients.,Developed knowledge of sales management skills, including sales models, principles, and techniques.,Strong financial analysis skills to provide expert advice on complex, unique, and high-value deals.,Strong attention to detail and ability to process transactions accurately while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.,Commitment to CIBC's values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.,Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) with a valid work or study permit where applicable.
