The Private Banking Associate provides administrative and sales support to Private Banking Advisors. Key responsibilities include assisting clients with transactional banking needs, responding to queries related to lending, borrowing, investing, or commercial lending, and ensuring exceptional client service. The role also involves handling operational tasks and supporting sales and marketing initiatives.
Provide administrative and sales support to Private Banking Advisors.
Assist clients with transactional banking needs and respond to their queries (lending, borrowing, investing, commercial lending).
Greet customers and arrange meetings.
Effectively handle client issues, concerns, or problems.
Service the financial needs of existing clients when the Private Banking Advisor is unavailable (including high-value products and services within guidelines).
Process incoming telephone calls and client requests for wires/cables, visa, tax, and bill payments.
Manage fax requests for money orders, drafts, currency exchanges.
Complete complex investigations for clients concerning account activity.
Support Private Banking Advisor in portfolio management by reviewing customer documentation for compliance.
Coordinate communication to customers regarding financial information for credit renewals, reviews, and temporary overdraft protection.
Monitor diary for upcoming maturities/renewals/expiries and advise the Private Banking Advisor.
Assist the Client Service Manager in rolling out special marketing or client events and ensure marketing material is current.
Carry out activities related to building and maintaining deposits as well as investment accounts.
Process look-ups and provide information on accounts, loans, and process cheque orders.
Input credit details and loan notes into the system.
Demonstrated experience with loan, mortgage, and investment products sufficient to respond to general customer inquiries.
Working knowledge of branch routine and operations of other departments and CIBC partners sufficient to address client inquiries adequately and/or refer to appropriate source.

37.5 hours/week
Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit. May be required to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (e.g., simulation, coding, French proficiency).
