This role is central to deploying capital in a global private investment mandate for real assets and natural resources. It involves the full investment cycle, from origination to post-investment management, focusing on complex private investment execution, financial modeling, transaction structuring, due diligence, and negotiation. The analyst will contribute to investment theses, capital allocation, and investment committees, playing an active role in value creation and asset monitoring, particularly for forest and agricultural lands, vertically integrated land assets, and nature-based solutions. The mandate aligns with CDPQ's climate objectives, aiming for robust and sustainable performance.
Actively participate in the analysis of investment proposals and meetings with potential partners.
Make recommendations on investment strategy in Nature-Based Solutions.
Support the coordination of in-depth due diligence processes for investment opportunities, collaborating with company management teams and external consultants.
Develop sophisticated financial models, perform detailed quantitative analyses, and provide advice on the valuation of potential investments.
Lead the drafting of authorization documents for new investment opportunities.
Assist key collaborators in negotiating commercial agreements and ownership structure.
Contribute to the development of business and strategic plans for sustainable land management.
Proactively monitor financial and operational indicators, as well as financial reporting of portfolio companies.
University degree (2nd cycle) or engineering degree.
MBA, CPA, CA, or CFA designation is an asset.
