PM Production Supervisor

Description

This role involves overseeing production operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and safety policies, maximizing productivity, and maintaining product quality. The supervisor is also responsible for coordinating schedules, training employees, managing performance, and promoting safety programs within a food manufacturing environment.

What We're Looking For

Ensure compliance with Saputo Food Safety policies, safety rules, procedures, and policies.,Follow Good Sanitation and Housekeeping Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.,Work with plant management to assign, direct, review, and monitor work of supervised staff.,Ensure proper procedures for production efficiency, product quality, employee safety, and state/federal guidelines.,Inspect products for conformance to specifications and direct machine adjustments.,Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements.,Complete assigned paperwork (production/packaging records, Master Cleaning Sanitation Lists, schedules, accident reports, etc.).,Coordinate and conduct employee training and monitor work performance.,Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.,Analyze and resolve work problems.,Maintain time and production records.,Collaborate with other supervisors.,Provide supervision for assigned employees, including selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.,Lead problem-solving efforts in the warehouse.,Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.,Support employee progressive disciplinary action activities.,Promote safety programs and policies.,Train and instruct employees regarding production and equipment standards.,Oversee instruction, implementation, and enforcement of policies.,Engage in managerial responsibilities: planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating.,Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and values.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum of an Associate's degree in Operations Management, or equivalent experience.,One to three years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.,Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.,Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.,Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.,Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.,Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report/follow through on deficiencies.,Excellent verbal/written communication skills.,Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.,Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.,Ability to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.,Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles.,Ability to work flexible hours including weekends in support of plant operations.
